I've been liking Pinback lately, especially the album 'Information Retrieved'.

Have you ever listened to Three Mile Pilot? Two of the guys from Pinback were in it, as well as one of the guys from Black Heart Procession (another band that had a few gems).

Lately I've been on a real instrumental mostly post-rock type kick as I was talking to Kyle about Isotope 217 (guys from Tortoise), Godspeed Your Black Emperor! (amazing stuff), HiM (not to be confused with that shitty European band, it's Doug Scharin from Rex/June of 44), and stuff like that.

Yeah, I saw Three Mile Pilot several times when I was a young'un. I like. Back in those ancient days - when The Casbah was in that little building on the road coming from the freeway - it was them, Fishwife, Boilermaker, Heavy Vegetable (another Rob Crow thing, though I don't like them very much - I think Pinback is my favorite Rob Crow band), Hemlock, Powerdresser, and of course Rocked From the Crypt & Drive Like Jehu. Good times.

I like Tortoise. Gonna go check out the others now.
